Trinidad
Trinidad derives its name from the historic city of La Santísima Trinidad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Cuba.
Originating as a Havana brand in 1969, it was originally reserved for diplomatic gifts and only received a commercial release in 1998.
Initially there was just one size, the Fundadores (Founders), but the range expanded in 2003 with the addition of the Reyes, Coloniales and Robusto Extra.
Initially produced at El Laguito, the Cohiba factory, however, Trinidad's production moved to Pinar del Rio City in 2004 due to high demand.
Today, the range is larger than it has ever been, and the brand continues to go from strength to strength.
Trinidad are all 'tripa larga, totalmente a mano' - long filler, totally handmade - and use the finest leaves from Vuelta Abajo.
