With its distinctive double figurado shape, the Distinguido presents a unique smoking experience that demonstrates the artisanal tradition of Cuban cigar making. The smoking characteristics of a Doble Figurado are different from those of a Parejo. Generally speaking, the first taste offers a unique flavour, which is composed largely of Capa (wrapper leaf). Gradually, as the cigar is smoked, the balance of all the tobaccos comes into play. Once past the widest point the full panoply of the tobacco blend will be revealed, and the combustion will gallop away.
Classified as medium to full bodied, a floral sweetness emerges alongside a gentle spiciness as the cigar progresses. Considered by many to be the pinnacle of the rollers’ art, this double figurado has impeccable construction with an even burn and a consistent draw,
Released as a standard Cuaba in 2003 this relatively new cigar offers smokers a trip down memory lane to over a hundred years ago, when all cigars were made in this style.
