Hoyo de Monterrey's Le Hoyo series was originally introduced in 1970 and aimed at the Swiss market. It is generally accepted to be slightly stronger and spicier than the brand’s classic range.
Le Hoyo de Río Seco, as with Le Hoyo de San Juan, only uses Seco and Ligero leaves grown in San Juan y Martinez, a small town in Vuelta Abajo. Vuelta Abajo is a world-famous tobacco growing zone in Cuba, renowned for providing exceptional quality tobacco to a variety of Habanos brands. It is also home to the world famous Hoyo de Monterrey plantation.
This cigar offers a harmonious blend that caters to novice and the aficionado alike. On lighting, one is greeted with a sweet and floral bouquet, seamlessly transitioning into subtle hints of vanilla and rich coffee. As the cigar develops notes of leather and spice emerge, adding a mature edge to the smoke.
The Rio Seco leaves a lasting impression with its nuanced interplay of flavours, making it a distinguished addition to the Hoyo de Monterrey portfolio.
